Meet Our Highland Cows
Our herd of 5 highland cows are one of the most beloved attractions at Lydiate Hall Farm. With their distinctive long horns and wonderfully shaggy coats, they are truly magnificent animals.
These gentle giants are incredibly friendly and love attention from visitors. Come and meet them up close — you won't be disappointed!

- They use their long horns to forage through snow for food

Over 60 Majestic Peacocks
Wander among our stunning collection of over 60 peacocks. These magnificent birds roam freely across the farm and are always happy to show off their spectacular plumage.
Whether they're fanning their feathers in an impressive display or strutting around the farmyard, our peacocks never fail to delight visitors of all ages.

- A male peacock's tail feathers can be up to 6 feet long
- The female is called a peahen and has more muted colouring
- A group of peacocks is called a muster or an ostentation
- Their call can be heard up to 5 miles away

A Tranquil Duck & Goose Pond
Our beautiful pond is home to a wonderful array of ducks and geese. Sitting by the water's edge and watching them swim and splash is a wonderfully peaceful experience for all ages.
The ducks and geese are always eager for visitors and love being fed. It's one of those simple, joyful experiences that brings a smile to everyone's face.
